The Da Vinci Code as a novel is an international bestselling phenomenon, but The Da Vinci Code as a movie is bound to be remembered long by the end of the year. Directed by: Ron Howard, the Hollywood - veteran behind such memorable films as "A Beautiful Mind and Cinderella Man, this adaptation of Dan Brown's religious thriller 149 minutes monotonic clichés and boring exhibition European spy thriller. What makes the novels of Dan Brown so popular is the narrative background on topics such as cryptography, secret societies, Orders and alternative history. But it is difficult to translate those ideas onto the canvas, and it is here that The Da Vinci Code, not as a commercial thriller. Whole scenes are of lectures on the history of Christianity and the life of Leonardo Da Vinci. Michael Crichton has a similar style, based on scientific breakthroughs and focused advanced technology, but his novels adapt better to the big screen. Whereas Jurassic Park crowd briefly talks about the inner Functioning of DNA jumped up, then quickly to two hours of dinosaurs terrorizing people, believes The Da Vinci Code explaining to leave hypotheses and talks only to her audience hanging. The ideas are interesting, but they provide a far better than silver screen blockbuster novel. Minus the interesting conjecture, the film is nothing more than a bad Pharmacy 1970 spy thriller written ...
Tom Hanks plays the lead role of Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor of religious symbology lecture in Paris. When Jacques Saunière (Jean-Pierre Marielle), curator of the Louvre is found murdered and strangely positioned in his famous museum, consult local authorities first Langdon for his expertise. But the professor soon learns from Sauniere's granddaughter, government cryptologist Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou), that he and the prime suspect one and the same. Create a diversion for the police, the two discover a hidden traces of evidence generated by Sauniere in the moments before his death, evidence that only they could lead to that most difficult treasure in human history - the Holy Grail. Interpol hot on the trail, and the true murderer still on to attract large, Langdon and Neveu help of the Grail historian Leigh Teabing (Ian McKellen Teacher), to give them the story of the protector of the Grail, the Priory of Zion, and to help them discover the endless clues that promise, a 2000 years to reveal secrets to ...
Despite the remarks of most critics, Tom Hanks performance is not too bad. Even though his character is the most gentle, he was not given much to work with those. Due to Robert Langdon's lack of development is on poorly written dialogue and poor choice of direction. Ron Howard tries to cover up some of the excessive dialogue with images, but narrative is not narrative with flashback sequences. Audrey Tautou has her lines well, but suffers from the same constraints as her Academy Award-winning screen partner. The only shining performance by Ian McKellen as the eccentric and charming Grail expert, Leigh Teabing made available. Some of his one-liner to add a bit of comic relief, but they are just patches bubble on a wound to the head, that is this film. At the end of The Da Vinci Code is a lesson on the distinction between two different media. Movies have not replaced books or vice versa, for a reason. Sometimes it's just better to read the book. In the case of The Da Vinci Code, this is one of those moments ...
